Sahara Desert Challenge for Shelter | Royal LePage Shelter Foundation

In November 2019, an enthusiastic group of Royal LePage professionals will journey to Morocco to trek 100 km across the Sahara Desert. They will encounter enormous sand dunes and cross rocky river beds and vast desert plateaus in a hot and dry climate that cools considerably at night. Trekkers will hike for up to 7 hours a day, go without cell service and electricity, and give up the comforts of home in exchange for large-group sleeping tents and outdoor bathroom facilities. This trek will not be easy, but it will be immensely worthwhile.

Each step our trekkers take and every dollar they raise will help abused women and children find safety and build lives free from violence. To participate in this adventure, each trekker must raise a minimum of $5,000 in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation which will fund their local women's shelter and domestic violence prevention and education programs across the country.

DONATE by clicking "Find a Team/Participant" and searching for the trekker you wish to support.

Royal LePage Shelter Foundation issues tax receipts in February for donations ($20+) made in the previous calendar year.

Registration for the Sahara Desert Challenge for Shelter is now CLOSED. If you would like more information about the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, please contact Carly Neill at 416-386-6099 or carlyneill@royallepage.ca. (Charitable Reg. 882531304 RR0001)
