We are raising funds and awareness for Canadian women and children who have experienced violence and are living in shelters and specifically at the Yellow Brick House in York Region. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 Virus, we have realized that so many women who had the safety of time alone during the day or while a partner is at work is now gone, and these women need our help more than ever.  Their safety is at risk and the individual shelters are not only at full capacity, but are on waiting lists.

This global COVID-19 pandemic has affected emergency women's shelters across Canada, including our own local shelter, the Yellow Brick House. Operational costs have increased for cleaning and other basic supplies, staff overtime, and the need for accommodations that meet social distancing guidelines. More counselling is also being provided via phone and text to women in the community who are experiencing abuse triggered by isolation, job losses and other stressors. With "in person" fundraisers being cancelled each day, our shelter needs our support now more than ever.

Please help us support our local women's shelter during the COVID-19 pandemic! 100% of donations made on this page will be directed to Yellow Brick House via the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Donations in any amount are welcome and appreciated; those of $20 or more will be eligible for a tax receipt to be sent in February 2021.
